Tableau Project 1
Overview
In this assignment, I learned how to use Tableau to create interactive dashboards that visualize data from the AdventureWorks2014Dashboard project. I explored various analytical tools and techniques to present key business insights for senior management. Through this process, I gained experience in comparing sales data across different channels, analyzing product profitability by geography, and identifying customer trends in internet sales. Additionally, I learned how to design effective visualizations that communicate complex data clearly, as well as the importance of seeking and providing constructive feedback to improve dashboard effectiveness.

Stacked Bar Chart (Internet Sales by Customer Demographics)
Why this layout? A stacked bar chart effectively represents multiple dimensions—customer gender, education level, and occupation—while maintaining clarity. Different colors for countries allow for cross-territory comparisons.
Key Insights: This visualization helps managers understand which demographics generate the most internet sales. It provides insights into customer segments that are performing well and those that may require targeted marketing efforts.

Map (Reseller Sales Revenue by Country)
Why this layout? A geographical heatmap provides an intuitive visual representation of revenue distribution across different countries. Using color gradients helps quickly identify high and low revenue-generating regions.
Key Insights: This map shows which countries contribute the most to reseller sales, helping leaders decide where to focus market expansion or sales efforts. The U.S. and Canada lead in reseller revenue, while Australia contributes significantly less.

Why this layout? A split bar chart allows for an easy comparison of revenue trends between internet and reseller sales over time. Using two distinct colors makes it easy to differentiate the two revenue streams.
